The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated a Russian biathlete.


The Ukrainian defense eliminated the Russian biathlete Pavel Yurovsky. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.
Yurovsky was a conscript from Kamyansk-Uralsky and was a participant in biathlon with the title of 'candidate for master of sports'.
In September 2022, Yurovsky was mobilized and participated in battles in the Avdiivka direction. As a result of a serious injury sustained during the fighting, he died in February 2025 in the hospital.
It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine also eliminated the grandson of the famous Soviet basketball player Yuri Ozerov - Roman Ozerov.
The liquidation of Roman Ozerov was reported by one of the Russian propaganda resources. The exact date of the occupier's death is not specified, it is just noted that it happened recently.
It is worth mentioning that Roman Ozerov was the grandson of the famous Soviet basketball player Yuri Ozerov.
From 1951 to 1959, he was a member of the USSR basketball team. Yuri Ozerov became the European champion in 1953 and 1957, a silver medalist of the Olympic Games in 1952 and 1956 (as the captain of the team), and a bronze medalist of the European Championships in 1955. He also became the champion of the USSR in 1948.
For many years, Ozerov worked as a coach for the USSR national team under the guidance of Alexander Gomelsky. With his participation, the USSR national team became a silver medalist of the Olympic Games (1964), a bronze medalist of the Olympic Games (1968, 1980), world champion (1967), silver medalist of the world championship (1978), and bronze medalist of the world championship (1970) and European champion (1963, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1979).
The defense forces also eliminated a 19-year-old football player from Crimea, Roman Markov.
Markov was born on June 2, 2005, in Kerch. At the age of 5, he began playing football and engaged in this sport at the clubs 'Gryphon', 'Legion', and 'Avangard'. He represented Kerch in the Crimean championship and participated in all-Russian tournaments, where he received awards as the best defender and took all heights of the ball.
In 2024, Markov graduated from the Shipbuilding Technical School in Kerch.
Since the beginning of 2025, there has been information about the death of the football player on the social network VKontakte, which occurred on January 22, 2025, in the Belgorod region. Roman himself was a conscript.
