The Fath missiles that Iran has likely handed over to Russia are difficult to shoot down with anti-aircraft defense systems (AAD), but it is possible to destroy launchers and storage depots, which is what Ukraine will focus on.

This was stated by the head of the Center for Military-Legal Studies, Oleksandr Musienko, on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

"The KN-23 North Korean missile — is an operational-tactical missile complex. Fath — is long-range rocket artillery with a corresponding warhead of 120-150 kg and a flight range of 30 to 120 km. Russia has suffered quite serious missile losses, and they have very few left. They need to compensate for this somehow. This is a terrorist weapon aimed at simply bombarding areas. It's not accurate," — he explained.

The expert is confident that Russia will not be able to compensate for the missile shortage with this weapon.

"It is more effective and better to counter these missiles by destroying launchers on the ground. I think work will be done in this direction. Ukraine will hunt both launchers and depots. The technologies and capabilities for this are available. Therefore, it is not worth hoping that Russia's calculations that this will seriously impact or strengthen their position will be justified," — he emphasized.
