Ukrainians abroad will be able to remotely apply for a booking from mobilization through special Unity Hub centers.

Minister of National Unity Oleksii Chernyshev reported this.

The new system will help avoid situations where a citizen can be mobilized immediately after crossing the border. Instead, Ukrainians will be able to receive a status that guarantees the booking of work in various sectors, including the defense industry.

Unity Hub centers will be created in countries with the largest number of Ukrainian citizens to provide employment services and arrange bookings for professions that meet the booking criteria.

The Minister had previously mentioned that Ukraine is ready to welcome its citizens returning from abroad, especially for work in the defense industry, where they are guaranteed mobilization booking.

Centers are planned to be established for the return of Ukrainians to their homeland in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland, countries that have sheltered many Ukrainians since the beginning of the war.

The number of Ukrainians with temporary protection status in the EU increased by 25,560 by December 2024. The largest increase was observed in Germany (+8830), Poland (+3705), and the Czech Republic (+3435).
