UNHCR announced payments of up to UAH 11,000 for vulnerable Ukrainians: who can receive them.
Who can apply
The UNHCR, in collaboration with the charity fund 'Right to Protection', is accepting applications for financial aid in the city of Buryn.
Aid is provided to those who were forced to leave their homes due to the war and relocated to other regions or abroad. To apply, one must meet the following conditions:
- Internally displaced persons must have relocated to another region no more than six months ago.
- Relocated individuals returned to their territorial communities less than six months after staying in another region.
- Refugees who returned from abroad are eligible for assistance if they left the country at the beginning of the war.
However, individuals with an income exceeding UAH 5,400 per person will not receive assistance.
Also, to be eligible for financial assistance, one must not receive similar support from other organizations in the past three months. But first and foremost, the assistance is aimed at Ukrainians in difficult situations:
- Parents raising minor children and/or elderly persons in the family;
- Older persons or parents who are raising minors alone;
- Persons with disabilities or severe illnesses in the family.
Amount and conditions for receiving financial assistance in the Sumy region
According to the program, financial assistance is provided for each family member of the applicant. The payment amount is nearly UAH 11,000 for the entire family: UAH 3,600 for each individual in need. The funds will be transferred to the bank account all at once for the entire three-month period.

We remind you that registration is ongoing in Ukraine for business grants in five regions under the REMARKET program. Those who submit applications by August 15 will have the opportunity to receive up to UAH 240,000 for their business development.
Additionally, women with disabilities can join the support program from the NGO Fight For Right, where funds of up to UAH 200,000 will be provided for the implementation of their business projects.
The UN initiative in collaboration with charitable organizations is aimed at supporting those who find themselves in a difficult situation due to the war or other circumstances.
