Three 19-year-olds detained in Odesa for illegal transportation of a conscript: what they face
Three 19-year-old men tried to smuggle a conscript to Poland beyond checkpoints. However, in Odesa, while receiving payment for the service, they were detained by law enforcement, and now they face imprisonment.

This was reported by the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Details of the case

The 19-year-olds found a potential 'client' through acquaintances and offered him a way to leave Ukraine bypassing checkpoints. For 7,500 US dollars, they promised full service — a guide's accompaniment, transportation to the Polish border, and a safe crossing.

However, the organizers were detained in Odesa during the transfer of cash for illegal border crossing.

What punishment they face

The suspects have been informed of the suspicion under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine). They face up to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property and restrictions on holding certain positions.

We remind you that recently we wrote about a delivery to Moldova for 2.1 thousand dollars. Also about men crossing the border over three days.
