The Verkhovna Rada is working on a system of one-Time cash payments to stimulate voluntary enlistment in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was stated by a member of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense, and intelligence, Fedir Venislavskyi.

The option of one-time cash payments upon signing a contract is the most acceptable, according to him.

«There was a discussion about increasing the financial support for military personnel, but in my opinion, this violates the principle of equality, as two soldiers in the trenches may receive different amounts for the same work,» he noted.

He also reported that over the past year, several thousand Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 25 have signed contracts for military service.

«After the creation of motivation packages with one-time cash payments, I believe the number of such people will significantly increase. These payments could be stretched over time to attract more people to join the Armed Forces,» the politician expressed his opinion.

It is reminded that earlier it was reported that men who have not reached the mobilization age (18-25 years) are planned to be encouraged to voluntarily join the Armed Forces of Ukraine through a system of motivational contracts.

According to Venislavskyi, even if the Verkhovna Rada adopts a law on demobilization, there will be no mass release from military service for at least the next three months.

President Volodymyr Zelensky signed laws extending the martial law term (4220-IX) and mobilization (4221-IX) until May 9, 2025.

The command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine plans to develop rules for dealing with conscripts for the servicemen of the territorial recruitment centers.
