Trump commented on Ukraine's agreement to ceasefire and the possibility of contacts with Zelensky and Putin.

US President Donald Trump reported that the US delegation plans to meet with representatives of Russia 'later today or tomorrow' to discuss proposals for a ceasefire in Ukraine. He also stated his intention to invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the White House.
'Ukraine has just agreed to a ceasefire. Now we need to reach out to Russia, and hopefully President Putin will also agree to this... We want to end this war,' Trump stated.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that ceasefire proposals would be conveyed to Russia through various channels of communication.
'Before we start negotiations, a ceasefire is necessary. The president wants this, and the Ukrainian side has agreed to it. Now we will pass this proposal to the Russians. It will be done in various ways,' Rubio noted during a meeting with journalists in Jeddah.
According to the Secretary of State, the Russian side will be informed through diplomatic channels, direct conversations, and other means. 'We hope that the Russians will say 'yes' and agree to this. In this way, shootings will cease, negotiations about ending the war will commence, which would be positive and lasting for both sides,' Rubio emphasized.

- The US is immediately restoring military aid and intelligence sharing.
