Tomatoes increased in price in January: how much they cost in Megamarket, Novus, Metro and Auchan.
According to the price monitoring of food products, the prices of tomatoes vary significantly in different stores.
According to the Ministry of Finance, red tomatoes can currently be purchased at an average price of 112.03 hryvnias per kilogram. The highest price for this type of tomatoes is recorded at Auchan - 140 hryvnias per kilogram, while the most affordable offer is at Novus, where a kilogram costs 78.90 hryvnias.
As for plum tomatoes, their average cost is 126.90 hryvnias per kilogram. In the Megamarket chain, this type of tomatoes is offered for 153 hryvnias, while at Auchan it costs 99.90 hryvnias per kilogram.
It is worth noting that in December 2024, the average monthly prices were somewhat different: red tomatoes cost 122.39 hryvnias per kilogram, plum tomatoes - 153.19 hryvnias, and pink tomatoes could be purchased for 144.39 hryvnias per kilogram.
