163 Clashes in One Day: Ukrainian Forces Destroy Russian 'Tor' and 'Nona-S' Systems on the Frontline.
Frontline Update
According to UATV: On March 27, 2023, the battlefield saw 163 combat engagements. Russian troops are concentrating their attacks on the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk axes. In response, Ukraine’s defense forces have struck back decisively, destroying a 'Tor' surface-to-air missile system and a 'Nona-S' self-propelled artillery unit.
During these operations, soldiers from the 414th Separate Brigade 'Madar’s Birds' successfully eliminated enemy equipment. Pilots of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade also proved their effectiveness by taking out a 'Nona-S'. On the Kostiantynivka front, Ukrainian troops repelled 34 enemy assaults, showcasing their fierce resistance.
Losses and Assessment
Since the war began, total Russian military losses have exceeded 1.293 million personnel. According to Ukraine’s defense forces, 1,000 Russian occupiers were eliminated on March 26 alone. These figures highlight the severity of the frontline situation and the heavy toll on the enemy.
“The enemy will conduct diversionary actions, constantly creating smoke screens somewhere in one place,” said Artem Lysogor.
These remarks confirm that Russian forces are trying to disorient their opponent. “It will be a set of measures. They will mobilize a certain number of people through bribery,” added Yuriy Fedorenko, underscoring the enemy’s efforts to gather resources to continue their aggression.
As a result, the frontline remains tense, with ongoing combat and significant casualties on both sides. Ukraine’s defense forces demonstrate their readiness to actively resist, evidenced not only by the destruction of enemy hardware but also by successful defensive operations.
Amid constant fighting and heavy losses, both sides continue to vie for strategic positions. The rising number of clashes and attacks points to an escalation of the conflict, which could have serious consequences for the region as a whole. Continued support from the international community remains crucial for Ukraine as it strives to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty.
