According to inkorr.com: On October 2, forecasters predict cold and damp weather with rains that will cover most of Ukraine, except for the south.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, precipitation will begin at night over most of the territory, except for southern regions, and will continue during the day in the north, central regions, and Kharkiv region. The wind will fluctuate from the northeast at a speed of 5-10 m/s.

Air temperature

The temperature will be quite cool: during the night it is expected to be from 1 to 6 degrees Celsius, and during the day - from 5 to 10 degrees. In western Ukraine, ground frosts from 0 to 5 degrees are possible, as well as frosts in the air in Prykarpattia - from 0 to 3 degrees. In Transcarpathia, the temperature will rise to 13 degrees during the day.

In southern and eastern regions, the temperature at night will fluctuate from 4 to 9 degrees, during the day - from 12 to 17 degrees. Rain is forecasted in the Carpathian Mountains, the temperature will be from 3 degrees Celsius to 2 degrees below zero.

Weather in Kyiv

In Kyiv and the region, it will be cloudy with light rain and northeastern wind at a speed of 5-10 m/s. At night, the temperature will remain at 1-6 degrees Celsius, and during the day - from 5 to 10 degrees. In the capital, during the night, around 5 degrees is expected, during the day - around 7-9 degrees.

The Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevskyi: 'On September 24, meteorological autumn arrived in Kyiv. It started a week later than the climatic norm and is characterized by a steady transition of the average daily air temperature below 15 degrees.'

It should be noted that the earliest autumn in Kyiv was observed in 1993 - on August 25, and the latest - on October 15 in 2020. This year's meteorological summer started on May 21 and ended on September 23, lasting 126 days. The longest summer was in 2012 - 166 days, and the shortest - in 1990 - 88 days.

Forecasters assure that on October 2, the weather in Ukraine will be cold and damp with possible rains, with air temperatures not exceeding 10 degrees. In southern and eastern regions it will be slightly warmer, while in Kyiv cloudy weather with light rain is expected at temperatures from 5 to 10 degrees.
