Frontline Situation on March 7

According to UATV: Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) engaged in 42 combat clashes on March 7, with the most intense fighting concentrated on the Konstantynivka and Pokrovsk fronts. The UAF continues its active strikes against Russian positions, successfully destroying key enemy assets, including command posts for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and weapons depots. This sustained pressure aims to degrade Russia's offensive capabilities.

Near Donetsk, Ukrainian forces struck a launch site for Iranian-made 'Shahed' drones, triggering a major fire. Meanwhile, on the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian troops thwarted a Russian sabotage attempt. While the enemy continued offensive actions on the Konstantynivka axis, Ukrainian defenders on the Zaporizhzhia front have eliminated over 300 Russian occupiers in the last three months.

Russian Military Losses

Overall, during the winter period, the UAF eliminated nearly 92,500 Russian occupiers. In the past week alone, Ukrainian forces destroyed over 1,600 Russian infantry, with 1,010 of those losses occurring in the last 24 hours. These figures indicate a significant and sustained impact on the enemy's manpower.

“It is important that due to our strikes, the enemy is experiencing a shortage of components for various types of weapons,” noted Ihor Romanenko.

UAF commander Serhii Tsekhotskyi emphasized their defensive success, stating,

“We are doing very well at keeping the enemy as far away as possible from the city of Zaporizhzhia while simultaneously degrading its offensive potential.”
These statements underscore the effectiveness of Ukrainian forces in countering the aggressor and maintaining control over critical sectors of the front.

The frontline situation remains tense, but the actions of the UAF demonstrate both their resolve and their effectiveness in the fight for the country's independence. The operations described highlight an active phase of combat, particularly on the most contested axes. Destroying Russian positions, including weapons depots and command centers, can critically hamper the enemy's ability to conduct offensive operations. Given the substantial enemy losses, Ukrainian military strategy appears focused on systematically weakening the aggressor's potential, a crucial effort for ensuring Ukraine's territorial security.
