Apples in Ukraine Have Risen in Price: A Comparison of Prices at Metro, Auchan, and Novus.

A significant price difference for apples has been identified in the Ukrainian market depending on the retail chains. According to the Ministry of Finance, the average price for domestic apples is 42.80 UAH per kilogram.
The 'Metro' chain offers apples at a price of 41.50 UAH/kg, 'Megamarket' - 49.90 UAH/kg, while 'Novus' sells Ukrainian apples at 36.99 UAH/kg, which is the lowest price among the mentioned stores.
'Aydared' apples can be purchased at 'Auchan' for 44.50 UAH/kg.
It should be noted that in January 2025, the average monthly price for Ukrainian apples was 31.46 UAH/kg, while 'Aydared' apples cost on average 37.76 UAH/kg.
Additionally, prices for oranges and bananas increased earlier in Ukraine.
