The situation on the apple market in Odesa
According to Novyny.live: At the 'Cheremoshky' market in Odesa, apples from refrigerated storage prevail, which have been well-preserved and are in demand. This season is characterized by the availability of various apple varieties, but those grown in the Vinnytsia region deserve special attention.
Prices for apples
What is the price of apples? The prices for large storage apples range from 25 to 45 hryvnias per kilogram. Small apples can be purchased for 25 to 30 hryvnias per kilogram. Apples of the first, highest grade start at 60 hryvnias per kilogram. Vendors note that apples from the refrigerator have always been more expensive, but they are also valued more, as they possess certain taste qualities.
“This is all an apple from the refrigerator. It is crunchy, juicy, and firm. You could say it’s sweet,” shared the impressions of one of the buyers, Anatoliy.
Thus, apples that have undergone refrigerated storage not only look attractive but also meet consumer requirements due to their properties.
The situation in the market indicates a stable demand for apples from refrigerated storage, which may be related to the high demands of consumers regarding product quality. Considering the current prices, it is clear that consumers are willing to pay more for products that meet their expectations regarding taste characteristics. At the same time, this may impact the future pricing policy of producers and suppliers in Ukraine.
