Ukrainian wrestlers reach new heights
According to inkorr.com: Aida Kerimova won a bronze medal at the U23 World Championship in women's wrestling, claiming the award in the 50 kg weight category. The Ukrainian successfully competed against a representative from Venezuela and won.
Ukraine ranked 10th in the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival. Our athletes won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making this performance the second highest in the number of awards in the history of Ukraine’s participation in the Festivals.
Judo turned out to be the most successful sport at these competitions. In addition, Ukraine earned medals in swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis.
