ALDI limits champagne sales: what is the reason for the sharp increase in demand.
Limitations on champagne purchases at ALDI
According to The Sun: ALDI has taken measures and introduced a limit on the number of bottles of champagne that can be purchased. This came about due to a sharp increase in demand for this drink, which rose by 76% ahead of Christmas. Now customers will be able to buy only four bottles.
Sales of Nicolas de Montbart champagne are limited by ALDI.
This measure was taken in response to the rapid increase in interest in champagne during the holiday season. The supermarket chain aims to ensure an even distribution of the product among all customers, preventing excessive crowding and shortages.
Given the approaching holidays, demand for alcoholic beverages is likely to increase, and similar restrictions may be adopted by other retailers. This necessitates careful planning of purchases for those who want to prepare for festive gatherings.
