Alimony for Two Children - What is the Amount of Payments in 2025.

In case of divorce of families with underage children, Ukrainian parents are obliged to pay alimony. This is financial assistance for providing children with food, clothing, and other necessary items. If the payment is delayed, a penalty applies.

According to the lawyers of the Free Legal Aid, alimony in Ukraine is calculated as a percentage of the payer's income or a fixed amount. The court determines the amount of payments for one of the parents for two children.

• In case of partial payments for two children, one-third of the payer's income is provided, but not more than ten times the subsistence minimum for each child of the corresponding age, while taking into account disputed parenthood, motherhood, and the involvement of third parties.
• Another form is alimony in a specified monetary amount, which is indexed annually to the inflation rate.

Alimony for Two Children - Amount of Payments

When calculating alimony for two or more children, a single share of income is deducted, which must be paid until the oldest child reaches adulthood. The minimum recommended amounts for children of the corresponding age are:

• 2,563 hryvnias for children under 6 years old;
• 3,196 hryvnias for children aged 6 to 18;
• 3,028 hryvnias for children aged 18 to 23.

Children from different marriages have equal rights to receive alimony, distributing the total amount of 33% among themselves.
