American Intelligence Uncovered Russian Attempts to Influence Elections with Fake Videos.


The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the USA released a joint statement regarding Russian attempts to influence elections.
According to the intelligence community, Russian influence actors created a video falsely depicting people purportedly arriving from Haiti and voting illegally in several districts of the state of Georgia. The Secretary of State of Georgia has already denied these allegations as false.
Today, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (@ODNIgov), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (@CISAgov) released the following statement: Russian side also produced a video baselessly accusing a person linked to a Democratic Party candidate of receiving a bribe from an American showman.
The U.S. intelligence community expects that Russia will create and disseminate additional media content aimed at undermining trust in the electoral process and deepening divisions in American society, both leading up to the election day and in the weeks and months afterward.
