The Russian vessel detained in Odesa has had its arrest lifted - details.
The tanker Nika Spirit, which was imprisoned as part of a criminal investigation, has finally found a new owner at auction. The vessel is now flying the Ukrainian flag and can sail freely without restrictions.
The sale of the tanker was made possible thanks to the state system Prozorro.Sales. The initial valuation of the vessel was significantly lower than the final price it was sold for in competitive bidding. A Ukrainian company became the new owner and ensured the legality of the transaction.
After the change of ownership, a court decision lifted all previous ties to the criminal proceedings, and now Nika Spirit can continue its operations without hindrance.
