U.S. Military Neutralized Threat in Yemen

On August 8, U.S. military conducted operations in areas of Yemen controlled by the Houthis. During these actions, two missiles, a ground control station, and a surface drone were destroyed.

These actions by the U.S. military were aimed at eliminating the threat posed by the weapons and systems of the Iran-backed Houthis.

The operation included the destruction of two anti-ship missiles and a ground control station in Yemen. These systems were capable of attacking maritime and land targets, posing a significant threat to commercial and military ships in the region.

Additionally, in the Red Sea, a Houthi unmanned surface drone, also jeopardizing the safety of shipping and coalition forces, was destroyed.

The U.S. military command noted that these operations were necessary to protect their own and allied forces, as well as to ensure the safety of maritime trade routes. They stated that the behavior of the Houthis is reckless and dangerous, and continues to threaten stability and security in the region.

Recall that earlier, the Houthis assured Russia and China that their ships passing through the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden would not be attacked.
