The 29-year-old Onana had fallen out of favor at Manchester United due to a series of mistakes. Coach Ruben Amorim opted for Altay Bayindir to start the season and also signed Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.
Onana arrived in Turkey with joy, where he was greeted by numerous fans, urging him to leave Manchester.
Upon exiting the airport, he joined the fans chanting his name and donned a scarf in club colors.
According to reports, he will receive significantly more than at Manchester United due to bonuses and a signing fee.
INJURY AND MATCH AGAINST MAN CITY
Onana's relationship with the Manchester United coach soured due to an injury he sustained at the start of pre-season training.
After his departure from the team, Amorim conducted a squad cleanout, resulting in some high-profile players like Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho leaving the club.
Onana's departure left Amorim with a choice between Bayindir and newcomer Lammens for the match against Manchester City, scheduled for Sunday.
The player who takes to the field is likely to be concerned as Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland scored FIVE GOALS in the last match against Moldova.
With Andre Onana's move to Trabzonspor, the club gains an experienced goalkeeper, while the player hopes to revive his career. For Manchester United, this also presents an opportunity to reconsider strategic decisions concerning the squad. With the anticipation of a new chapter in Onana's career, fans hope for positive changes.Read also
