Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have agreed to divorce after a lengthy process, which has become one of the most famous and contentious in Hollywood. This was reported by People magazine.

More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Pitt. She retained all their joint property and focused on her family. 'Angelina is very happy that this part of her life has ended,' said her lawyer, James Simon.

The actors could not agree on child custody and property division for eight years. The biggest issue was the decision regarding the winery in Provence, which Jolie sold to a Russian.

A private judge hired by Jolie and Pitt was excluded after the actress claimed his illegal conflict of interest. The appellate court upheld this decision, so the actors had to start the process anew.

According to the report, on December 30, 2024, Pitt and Jolie signed a new agreement regarding property and custody. At that Time, all of the couple's children, except for 16-year-old twins Vivian and Knox, had turned 18.

The couple met on the set of the film 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' and acknowledged their mutual feelings in 2006. They married in 2014, but announced their divorce in 2016. The couple was often referred to as 'Brangelina.'

Additionally, Angelina Jolie was accused of hiding from Pitt the sale of part of their joint business - the winery Château Miraval. According to the actor, Jolie illegally transferred half of the shares to Russian billionaire and owner of a large alcohol company Yuri Shefler.
