Angela Merkel to Present Memoirs: Date Announced.
Angela Merkel, the former Chancellor of Germany, is set to release an autobiography titled "Freedom. Memories 1954-2021". This news was reported by UK.Bookshop.
For 16 years, Merkel led Germany and made decisions concerning domestic policy and international relations. In collaboration with her political advisor Beate Baumann, she describes her life in two German states - 35 years in the German Democratic Republic and 35 years in united Germany.
In the book, Merkel talks about her childhood, youth, and studies, as well as meetings and conversations with influential people around the world.
Three years after leaving politics, Merkel became the main character in the comedy series "Miss Merkel," where she investigates murders alongside her dog named Helmut.
Interestingly, the German government spent nearly €55,000 on Merkel's hair and makeup after she left office. Although Merkel left office two years ago, she is still settling expenses with the government.
