Anthony Joshua on Tyson Fury: I will destroy his silly head if he steps into the ring.
Anthony Joshua promises to 'take out' Tyson Fury
According to The Sun: Anthony Joshua stated his intention to 'hit the head' of 'silly' Tyson Fury if they finally meet in the ring for a British showdown this autumn.
Joshua hasn't stepped into the ring since September 2024, when he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.
ReutersThree months after that, Fury lost to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time, prompting another retirement announcement in January.
However, Fury hints at his return next year, while Joshua is also planning to step back into the ring in early 2026.
On Instagram, Joshua praised his former opponent Joseph Parker, whom he defeated in 2018, and Fabio Wardley regarding their fight on October 25. However, most of his comments focused on criticizing Fury.
“I am proud of @joeboxerparker, although he is a competitor. True recognition is for the real. He is in the game to fight anyone, anytime, and that’s the DNA of a true champion. Unlike his silly friend @tysonfury.”
“I could break down his career/record in minutes, but I'll leave that for a potential battle if he ever comes back and fights the Big Femme.”
“For my fans, I will be back to lace up my boots and put on the gloves sooner rather than later, hopefully to hit Fury in the head and dance around his flicker jab.”id='6377509425112' data-video-id='6377509425112' data-account='5067014667001' data-player='default' data-usage='cms:WordPress:6.5.6:2.8.6:javascript' data-embed='default' class='video-js' data-application-id='' controls style='width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0;'>
Joshua, 35, is also considering a fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 28. However, Paul has already announced an exhibition fight on November 14 against lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, 30, who weighs five stones lighter.
Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that Joshua plans to have a warm-up fight before focusing on Fury later this year. He is currently in active negotiations for a fight in Ghana to mark his return to the ring.
