According to The Sun: Millions of consumers may reclaim hundreds of pounds left in closed accounts. According to the energy regulator Ofgem, about £240 million remains unclaimed in accounts awaiting their owners.
The energy regulator noted that around 1.9 million accounts still contain funds that...
“These funds may go unnoticed, but consumers have the right to reclaim them,” said an Ofgem representative.
