Continuing the season without Havertz
Coach Mikel Arteta will rely on new signing Viktor Gyökeres to lead the attacks in the coming weeks with no substitution options.
GettyGabriel Jesus, Arsenal's third striker, has also not returned after his recovery, and it is expected that he will return to the field at the end of 2025 after a meniscus operation in January.
Nevertheless, Arsenal hopes that they have enough resources to address the issue of the missing striker, as the club only yesterday rejected a deal with Tottenham for £68 million for Eberechi Eze due to Havertz's injury.
Arteta has alternatives; he already deployed midfielder Mikel Merino and winger Leandro Trossard in attacking positions last season.
Moreover, Arsenal will have to cope without Bukayo Saka for several weeks, who was injured during the significant 5-0 victory against Leeds on Saturday.
It is unclear if Martin Ødegaard will be able to return to the field in the game against Liverpool this Sunday.
'The captain of the Gunners had to leave the game in the 38th minute due to a shoulder injury,'
- reported Ødegaard's substitution for Ethan Nwaneri.
