Russian Strikes on Konotop and Zaporizhzhia: One Woman Killed, Over 20 Wounded Including Children.
Deadly Attacks Hit Two Ukrainian Cities
According to UATV: Russian forces launched strikes on Konotop in Sumy Oblast and the city of Zaporizhzhia, resulting in the death of a woman and at least 21 injuries. Among the wounded are children—three minors were hurt in Konotop during drone attacks.
Zaporizhzhia also suffered significant damage from guided aerial missiles and drones. The number of casualties there has risen to 16, including a 9-year-old girl. The shelling damaged three vehicles and shattered windows in an apartment building. Additionally, a grass fire broke out across 10 square meters of open land.
Escalating Hostilities
In total, Russian troops launched two missiles and 216 drones across Ukraine, highlighting a sharp escalation in regional tensions and the serious threat to civilian life.
These attacks underscore Russia’s ongoing aggressive strategy in Ukraine, endangering civilians and infrastructure. The rising toll—especially among children—shows that non-combatants remain highly vulnerable amid the fighting. This situation reinforces the urgent need for international awareness and support to shield the population from the conflict’s devastating effects.
