Despite these attractive offers, experts warn that prices for some staples may rise in the future. According to Denys Marchuk, challenges in the energy sector could lead to a substantial increase in bread costs.
“Bread prices are expected to rise by 5% during the summer of 2026, with a potential increase of up to 25% by autumn,” says Denys Marchuk.
Additionally, producers have started selling last year's potato harvest at 15% higher prices, signaling a broader upward trend in food costs. While current supermarket discounts provide welcome relief for households navigating a tough economy, consumers should also prepare for possible price hikes on bread and other essentials. This highlights the importance of careful household budgeting, as shifting pricing policies could significantly impact family finances in the near future.
