Emergency power outages have occurred in Kyiv and 14 regions. This information was provided by NEK "Ukrenergo" on September 3.

The report mentions the following regions: Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Vinnytsia.

Earlier, DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks reported emergency power outages in Kyiv. The reason cited was network limitations.

«Thank you for your understanding! And we ask everyone who currently has electricity to use it as sparingly as possible. So that emergency outages end sooner!», stressed NEK "Ukrenergo".

Ukrainian Prime Minister's advisor, member of the Supervisory Board of "Ukrenergo," Yuriy Boyko noted that the consequences of the massive attack on the power system that occurred on August 26 are still too early to assess regarding future power outages. However, plans for winter preparation will be adjusted.

President Zelensky stated that the protection of Ukraine's energy facilities is being developed at various levels. He emphasized the need to keep protection details secret from the enemy. The head of state stressed that he «doesn't like energy PR» and will not allow the enemy to know where it hit and where it didn't.
