Christmas expenses rise: how much gifts will cost Ukrainians in 2024.
Gift expenses and holiday stress
According to The Sun: Research shows that gift expenses for millennials can reach up to £154, while members of Generation Z spend about £130, which also exceeds the national average.
A survey of 2000 people celebrating Christmas revealed that 47% of people feel stressed about trying to meet expectations during gift exchanges. The most stress is felt by members of Generation Z – 61% of them confirmed this.
“We try to create the perfect holiday, but this often leads to pressure and anxiety,”– respondents noted.
These results indicate that the festive period, instead of joy and unity, is becoming a source of stress for many young people. The efforts to meet expectations can lead to emotional exhaustion, which, in turn, jeopardizes the very essence of celebration. It is important to remember that the true value of the holidays is support and love, not just material things.
