Update on Aiden Heaven's health

According to The Sun: MANCHESTER UNITED experienced anxiety over an injury before Sunday's match against Liverpool, when Aiden Heaven sustained an injury during international competition.

The central defender of the 'Red Devils' fell to the pitch within the first minute of the England U-20 match against Switzerland, which ended in a 1-0 defeat at St George's Park on Friday.

Heaven received medical assistance on the field, after which coach Ben Fotheringham substituted him at halftime.

The 19-year-old player managed to play the remainder of the first half, which may instill some hope that the injury is not serious.

Heaven, who has regularly made the United bench this season, was set to be included in Ruben Amorim's squad for the match against Liverpool on October 19.

Fotheringham noted: “He sustained an injury. I don't think it's anything serious, but we will need to find out how it's going to progress.”

The player joined United from Arsenal's youth academy earlier this year and featured for the first team of the 'Red Devils' in the second half of last season.

However, he missed two months at the end of the 2024/2025 season due to a leg injury.

Heaven actively played in the three-man defense under Amorim during preseason training, but this season he still lacks regular playing time.

He has appeared on the field only once – in the defeat in the Carabao Cup against Grimsby, and in the Premier League, he has only three minutes to his name.

It is worth noting that Heaven has an injury history: in March of this year, he had to leave the field on a stretcher during a comfortable 3-0 victory over Leicester.

He also left the pitch due to health issues in a friendly match against Fiorentina at Old Trafford in August.

Next Match for Manchester United

United will return to play against Arne Slot after the international break. Amorim hopes for first consecutive victories since his appointment.

Liverpool spent £450 million on strengthening the squad in the summer but comes into the match after three consecutive losses, including a recent defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

Currently, it is important to monitor Aiden Heaven's health status, as his absence could impact United's strategy in the upcoming match. Coach Amorim's work in shaping the team ahead of a tough match against Liverpool will also be a key factor. A victory over the opponent will help boost the team's morale and add confidence for the upcoming fixtures.
