Barcelona may return Rashford to Manchester United: reasons for the decision.
The situation with Marcus Rashford in Barcelona
According to The Sun: According to information from Spain, Marcus Rashford's transfer to Barcelona could turn out to be a true misunderstanding.
Spanish press notes that the Catalan club is already seriously considering the possibility of returning the player back to Manchester United.
Shutterstock EditorialRashford, 27, managed to sign a loan agreement with an option to buy for 30 million pounds in the summer transfer window. However, in three matches in La Liga, he has not scored a single goal and has not provided a single assist.
As reported by El Nacional, the club is already dissatisfied with his performances, describing Rashford as 'shy, inaccurate, and lost' on the field. There is currently a possibility of early termination of the deal before Christmas, but this would require Manchester United to be paid 4.3 million pounds for the return.
Rashford was very keen on this transfer, trying to leave his form issues in Manchester behind. Barcelona contacted him only after a failed attempt to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool.
Debut in La Liga and coach's reaction
At the beginning of the season, Rashford showed promising results in friendly matches. But in La Liga, things went differently: in three matches, he failed to score or assist the team.
In the match against Levante, he was substituted at halftime, and coach Hansi Flick explained his decision:
“Of course, in the second half, we needed to change something.'

Despite the mounting pressure on Rashford, Flick has not lost hope yet:
“I think Marcus has shown what he is capable of and how he can help us.”
The question remains open: will Rashford be able to justify the hopes placed on him, or will he return to Manchester with a tarnished reputation?
This situation highlights the challenges Rashford faces in his new club, as well as the importance of adapting to a new environment. The developments may significantly impact the player's career and Barcelona's prospects for the future. All this underscores how unpredictable the world of football at the highest level can be.
