Even If Wanted by Draft Offices: Single Fathers Can Still Qualify for a Deferral – Here’s How.
Mobilization Deferrals for Single Fathers
According to Novyny.live: In Ukraine, a man recognized as a single father can apply for a deferral from military mobilization even if the territorial conscription center (TCC) has placed him on a wanted list for draft registration violations. This new policy allows these fathers to maintain their family status and continue raising their children without the added stress of mobilization proceedings. The measure comes amid ongoing military conflict, aiming to support those caring for minors alone.
How to Apply for the Deferral
The deferral can be obtained remotely through the 'Reserve+' online platform or in person at a local Administrative Services Center (CNAP). To qualify, the conscript must meet specific legal criteria, with one key condition being the sole upbringing of a minor child. Applicants must submit documents proving paternity, as well as official proof that the child’s mother is absent from the family.
Additionally, a single father can secure a mobilization exemption even after being placed on a wanted list, but only for a limited number of eligible enterprises. This provision offers a degree of protection for those navigating difficult circumstances.
'Try via Reserve+, but it likely won’t work. You’ll probably have to visit a CNAP instead.'

The policy is a significant step in supporting single fathers in Ukraine, especially during wartime when many face hardships. The rules regarding mobilization deferrals can greatly ease the lives of those raising children alone, safeguarding their well-being and stability. At the same time, it is crucial for citizens to be aware of the opportunities and mechanisms that allow them to take advantage of these changes.
