A legal threat from Alan Sugar to Jamie Redknapp

According to The Sun: Alan Sugar has warned that he may take legal action against Jamie Redknapp over his comments on Sky Sports regarding Tottenham's situation.

52-year-old Redknapp commented on the recent exit of club chairman Daniel Levy, who is 63 years old. He noted that Levy has transformed the club into a financial giant during his 24 years in the position. Redknapp compared the state of the club that Levy inherited in 2001 with the situation left by Sugar, who was chairman of Tottenham from 1991 to 2001. Redknapp described this state as 'a complete shambles.'

“Jamie Redknapp is a two-faced idiot. He talks a load of nonsense. He said that when Daniel Levy took over Tottenham, Alan Sugar left the club in a big mess. He and SKY will hear from my lawyers on Monday.”

Despite the controversy, both were probably satisfied when Tottenham secured a 3-0 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium. Pape Matar Sarr opened the scoring with a headed goal from a corner, and then Tomas Soucek was sent off after a foul. Luka Bergwijn and Mickey van de Ven completed a spectacular victory, allowing Tom Frank's team to level on points with league leaders Arsenal, trailing only on goal difference.

Tottenham continues to fight for top positions in the table, and the victory in the match against West Ham was an important step on this path. At the same time, the conflict between Sugar and Redknapp illustrates how emotions surrounding the club can impact public comments and relations between its former and current representatives.
