Cucumbers in Ukraine are experiencing a record price drop
EastFruit analysts report that cucumber prices in Ukraine are unusually low lately.
Currently, the price per kilogram of cucumbers ranges from 65 to 110 hryvnias (1.55-2.63 dollars), which is 19% cheaper compared to last week.
According to experts, such a sharp drop in cucumber prices is explained by a decrease in demand and an increase in imports.
Overall, cucumber prices are currently 27% lower than last year. Prices for smooth cucumbers in supermarkets are as follows:
- Auchan - 139.90 UAH/kg
- Metro - 129.90 UAH/kg
- MegaMarket - 161.30 UAH/kg
Previously, the prices for vegetables that are included in borscht increased.
