Fuel prices in Ukraine are expected to remain stable: experts shared the scenario for September

According to inkorr.com: Fuel prices in Ukraine may remain stable; however, active competition among gas stations could lead to price reductions. Experts believe that the costs of gasoline and diesel fuel are likely to remain unchanged over the coming weeks. But networks that are losing market share may declare a price war as early as September. Unfortunately, the cost of liquefied gas may rise.

The global oil market shows a tendency for price decreases due to anticipated reduced demand in the USA after the summer season ends. OPEC plans to increase production, which could lead to excess supply. As of August 29, prices for Brent and WTI oil have already decreased. Buyers are also concerned about geopolitical risks related to increased tariffs on imports.

On the domestic market, the wholesale price of diesel fuel has fallen to 45.84 UAH/l, while gasoline prices have remained almost unchanged. This price decrease in the market has been caused by the activity of regional networks such as SVR, Lotus, Factor, and 'SAN'.

It is anticipated that in September, competition between networks may intensify, leading to a further decrease in fuel prices. If this occurs, the cost could decrease by 2 UAH/l. The liquefied gas market, despite supply issues, is gradually recovering; however, increased demand may affect the rise in prices at gas stations.

Ukrainian experts forecast stable prices for gasoline and diesel but expect active competition among gas station networks, which may lead to lower fuel prices as early as September. The oil industry shows a trend towards lower prices due to increased production and falling demand, while higher demand for liquefied gas may lead to rising prices at gas stations.
