Gas prices will rise from October: how much fuel will become more expensive.
Forecast for fuel price increase in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: Experts warn of a potential rise in the price of A-95 gasoline from 58.72 UAH to 62-70 UAH per liter as early as this October, and diesel fuel – from 55.87 UAH to 65-70 UAH per liter. One of the reasons for this increase is the restrictions on imports of Indian petroleum products, most of which are produced from Russian oil. It is also worth noting that an increase in the excise tax is planned for 2026, which will create an additional burden for consumers.
Specialists indicate that despite all changes, the market remains more stable compared to last year. According to forecasts from the National Bank of Ukraine, the price increase for fuel will be 8% in 2026 and 6.9% in 2027.
'There are certainly grounds for further increasing fuel prices under various pretenses, even unreasonably. Note that prices at gas stations have not decreased yet, despite the fact that oil has fallen by 15% since June,' said energy expert Hennadiy Ryabtsev.
Therefore, a significant increase in fuel prices in Ukraine is expected from October 2023 due to import restrictions and rising excise duties. Despite the market appearing more stable compared to last year, new forecasts indicate further price increases, which could result in additional costs for consumers and impact the overall economic situation in the country.
