According to FREEДOM:
Military actions in Sumy region
The armed forces of Ukraine continue to push Russian occupiers out of the territory of Sumy. The aerial reconnaissance of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment monitors the movement of enemy infantry and equipment in bordering villages, while our strike units neutralize the threat. More details about the work of the Ukrainian reconnaissance drone SHARK in the FREEДОМ report.
Functions of the SHARK drone
The SHARK drone is a Ukrainian long-range reconnaissance UAV that can carry out missions in enemy rear for four hours. Its main purpose is to detect enemy equipment.
'In reconnaissance, we see that equipment is moving toward us, closer to the positions. We immediately report everything, guys, we have streak — either artillery or FPV, and we prevent their approaches,' says UAV technician of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment with the call sign 'Vitamin'.
Episodes of the drone's work
The drone operator with the call sign 'Alpinist' shared one of the cases:
'Motorcyclists were riding, I noticed them and led them to the point where they stopped. I reported it to the duty officer, and the duty officer called in FPV, and they were simply destroyed by FPVs,' he reported.
In the combat crew of SHARK, there are technicians and operators, their work continues uninterrupted.
'The technicians deal with the board and catapults, while the pilots handle the antennas and computer equipment,' explained 'Alpinist'.
Situation in the Sumy direction
According to the General Staff of Ukraine, the situation in the Sumy direction has stabilized. The 225th Separate Assault Regiment played a key role in liberating the coastal villages of Andriivka and Kondrativka. The expulsion of the occupiers from the territory of Sumy continues.
Thus, the active actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sumy indicate significant effectiveness of drones, which help in detecting and destroying enemy technical assets. With each passing day, the situation on the front becomes more controlled, and our military continues to show courage and professionalism in defending the country. At the same time, it is important to stay updated on events and support our military in this fight for independence.
