Cheltenham Festival May Change Schedule: Organizers Plan to Increase Attendance.
Changes to the Cheltenham Festival Schedule
According to The Sun: The Cheltenham Festival may undergo significant changes to its schedule as organizers are eager to revive declining attendance. Guy Lavender, the new CEO of the festival, has acknowledged that the final day of the largest show on grass may be moved by one day.
Typically, the event runs from Tuesday to Friday, but these changes could affect the traditional format of the event. Therefore, organizers are looking for ways to better engage spectators.
“We understand that it is necessary to take action to increase interest in the event,” Lavender noted.
In addition, other changes are already being planned to attract more visitors, although details have not yet been revealed.
These changes to the festival schedule are driven by the organizers' desire to adapt to new realities and maintain public interest. Whether the proposed innovations will yield the desired results will be shown by the next festival, when visitors will be able to evaluate new formats of the event.
