The White House responded to reports of North Korean military in Ukraine.
The USA is "concerned" about reports of North Korean soldiers fighting for Russia in Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that North Korea is transferring military personnel to the armed forces of Russia and confirmed that Ukrainian intelligence informed him about this.
"actual participation of North Korea in the war" in Ukraine, - stated Zelensky.
Sean Savett, a White House national security spokesperson, said that the participation of North Korean troops in Ukraine, if true, would significantly strengthen the defense relations between North Korea and Russia.
"Such a step would also indicate a new level of desperation for Russia, as it continues to suffer significant losses on the battlefield in its brutal war against Ukraine," noted Savett.
The USA's statement confirms that North Korea is transferring ballistic missiles and ammunition to Russia. Moscow and Pyongyang reject these accusations but promise to strengthen military ties, possibly with joint exercises.
