According to The Sun: Randy Moffitt, a former MLB baseball player and brother of famous tennis player Billie Jean King, has passed away at the age of 76.
According to family information, he died on Thursday in Long Beach, California.
GettyIn recent years, Moffitt suffered from a severe illness, which unfortunately led to his death.
He is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, as well as his sister Billie Jean King and her wife Ilana Kloss.
Baseball career
Moffitt played in MLB for 12 seasons. In 1970, he was selected in the first round draft by the San Francisco Dodgers.
In 1972, he made his professional baseball debut, spending 10 seasons with the San Francisco Giants, followed by one season each with the Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays.
Overall, Moffitt played 534 games in the main roster, achieving 43 wins against 52 losses, 96 saves, and had an ERA of 3.65.
He was also inducted into the San Francisco Giants Hall of Fame.
