91% of Swedes support Ukraine's EU membership: Eurobarometer survey results.
According to inkorr.com: More than half of the population of the European Union supports Ukraine's accession to the EU, preferring it over other candidate countries. This was stated by Jessica Rosencrantz, Sweden's Minister for EU Affairs, in an interview with the 'Telegraph'.
High level of support
According to the Eurobarometer survey, over 90% of Swedish respondents advocated for Ukraine's accession to the European Union. Rosencrantz emphasized that she feels significant support from Swedish society.
'We received the results of the recent Eurobarometer survey, which showed that Sweden is the EU country with the highest level of support for Ukraine's membership. In fact, 91% of Swedes support Ukraine's accession to the European Union,' the minister noted.
Overall positive views
The survey also showed that in 14 EU member states, 52% of respondents consider Ukraine a priority candidate for accession to the European Union. Finland ranks second with a support level of 82%.
According to the latest data, Ukraine's membership in the European Union has strong support among citizens of EU countries, especially in Sweden. Swedes are the most active supporters of Ukraine's accession to the EU, indicating their positive attitude towards Ukraine and its intentions to integrate into Europe.
Thus, the survey data confirm a positive trend in support for Ukraine on the European stage. This may become an important argument for the faster integration of Ukraine into the European Union, as public approval in member countries plays a significant role in the EU enlargement processes.
