According to The Sun: The England coach Thomas Tuchel spoke about his 'difficult' conversation with Trent Alexander-Arnold, who unexpectedly missed out on the squad for the qualifying matches against Andorra and Serbia.
The 26-year-old Real defender was not included in the list, instead, Tuchel decided to call up Reece James, Tino Livramento, and debutant Jed Spence.
PAAlexander-Arnold is currently going through a tough time at the club: he was substituted in the 68th minute of the match against Osasuna, and in the latest match against Real Oviedo, he remained on the bench.
Tuchel explained his decision:
“I spoke with Trent. It was a difficult conversation, but I wanted him to hear it from me. He appreciated it and expressed his desire to come back and play for England very clearly.”
The coach also added that
