Russia is preparing new attacks on hydropower plants: does Ukraine face a total blackout

According to inkorr.com: According to 'Khvylya', there remains a risk of blackout in Ukraine due to strikes by Russian occupiers on hydropower plants. Ihor Stukalenko from the Strategy XXI Globalistics Center emphasized the importance of protecting energy facilities from enemy attacks.

'We went through this in 2022. We had a practical blackout, when electricity was turned off for a long time for both household and industrial consumers,' Stukalenko said.

The expert points to the likelihood of such situations repeating and stresses the need to ensure the security of energy facilities. New methods of terrorizing Ukraine’s energy system could have serious consequences for energy supply.

Potential Threat of Blackout from Russia

Experts note that the likelihood of a total blackout in Ukraine is increasing due to terrorist actions by Russia aimed at the country's energy system. Disruption of the balance on the Dnipro River could have serious consequences as transformer substations and generation capacities are under threat.

Attacks by Russia on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure could lead to a prolonged collapse in electricity supply that would last not hours, but potentially days or weeks.

Ukrainian citizens must be prepared for possible blackouts as a result of attacks on the energy system and take measures to protect energy facilities from hostile actions.

In the current situation, the issue of energy security is becoming increasingly urgent. Citizens and authorities must unite efforts to adapt to potential challenges to minimize the impact on energy infrastructure. Preparation for possible emergencies can preserve energy stability in Ukraine and ensure the safety of its citizens.
