Ryder Cup: star golfers battle for millions before the biggest match of the year.
Players at the BMW PGA and Procore Championship
According to The Sun: This weekend, over 20 players who will participate in the Ryder Cup will compete at the BMW PGA at Wentworth and the Procore Championship in California.
Rory McIlroy, recently the winner of the Irish Open, will lead the fleet of competitors at Wentworth, among whom are ten of his European team mates. Meanwhile, Sepp Straka has taken a week off due to the birth of his child.
Scottie Scheffler will also join the competition alongside nine members of the USA team, while Bryson DeChambeau will miss the tournament due to a ban, and Xander Schauffele due to fatigue.
Many players hope for a double victory for McIlroy and Scheffler, which is rated at 6-1 and 9-4 respectively. This could bring over £100 for a £5 bet if all goes well.
This is a decent bet, but there are no guarantees, especially considering Scheffler's debut at Procore. He aims to maintain form for Bethpage, rather than add another victory to his list.
McIlroy, who lost in a playoff last year, might relax a bit after an emotional victory in front of his home fans. Where might the threats come from?

Betting tips for the BMW PGA Championship 2025
Tyrrell Hatton was disappointed when his chances of winning started slipping away during the tournament in Ireland.
He had high hopes but finished with a score of 77, which does not satisfy him. Before the Ryder Cup, he aims to show better results.
Wentworth is the perfect place for this, as Hatton won here in 2020 and shared second place during his last visit two years ago. Last year he did not participate in the tournament due to a LIV ban.
After his failure at the Irish Open, his odds are rated at 20-1, which is a good opportunity for redemption. Justin Rose also deserves attention with odds of 40-1.
Corey Conners might also be an interesting bet at the same price, although he lacks experience at Wentworth. Alex Noren, the previous winner here, looks appealing.
Ryan Fox, the champion of the past two years, has inflated odds of 80-1. Another interesting option is the Spaniard Ángel Hidalgo, who nearly made the playoff with McIlroy and Joakim Lagergren last week; he is at 250-1 odds.
It is also worth considering Shawn Norris, who is rated at 350-1.
Betting tips for the Procore Championship
Bookmakers have been cautious with bets on Scheffler, so some of his competitors have inflated odds, the most attractive being US Open champion J.J. Spaun.
He regularly competes at Procore and shows better results than in 2020 when he finished T9, and the following year – T11. With odds of 25-1, he looks like a valuable choice.
Patrick Cantlay has also shown decent results here in the past, making him an attractive option at 20-1 odds.
Cameron Young is in great form, having finished ten rounds in a row in the 60s, and this course should suit him. Another 20-1 bet looks interesting.
Among the players not participating in the Ryder Cup, Akshay Bhatia looks comfortable at 33-1, as well as Cameron Champ and Patrick Fishburn at 100-1.
However, the most promising outsider is David Lipsky, who was second here last year and recently achieved two third places in his last five appearances. His odds of 250-1 are very attractive!
