Ukraine Strikes Maritime Oil Terminal in Crimea

On October 7, 2024, Ukraine attacked the Feodosia maritime oil terminal in Crimea, which is the largest of such facilities on the occupied peninsula. According to the Ministry of Defense, this is not the first Time the terminal has been targeted by Ukrainian attacks.

“Ukrainian attacks continue to gradually undermine Russian military potential on the Crimean peninsula,” noted British intelligence.

The British Ministry of Defense reported that the targets attacked in 2024 also included air defense systems, airfields, command centers, naval facilities, logistics sites, and the crossing over the Kerch Strait.

The drone attack on occupied Crimea occurred on October 7. As a result, a powerful fire broke out at the oil depot in Feodosia. According to the confirmation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy's maritime oil terminal was successfully hit by Ukrainian forces.

The Feodosia maritime oil terminal is located in the eastern part of Feodosia and is the largest such facility in Crimea. Its storage tanks have a capacity of 250,000 cubic meters. In addition, another such terminal operates on the peninsula in Sevastopol.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Pantsir-S1 complex was deployed to protect the oil depot in Feodosia. Satellite images confirm that this complex was indeed located at the oil terminal.

Russia also announced a search for Georgian and Ukrainian citizens accused of involvement in the explosion on the Crimean bridge in October 2022.
