Budanov predicted when the Russian offensive will slow down.
The forecast of the Russian troops' offensive shows a decline
Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, predicts the end of the active phase of the Russian troops' offensive actions in the next one and a half to two months.
According to him, a decade of war experience shows that the offensive potential "no side can sustain for more than two months".
"In one and a half to two months, the main push (of the Russian army, - ed.) should end, because the offensive has already dragged on," he said.
The head of the GUR noted that the current offensive operations of the aggressor have been ongoing for almost three months, so a decline in activity is expected in the near future. However, Budanov warned:
"We know that after the decline and a brief lull, there will be new attempts by the enemy to advance. And we are preparing for this."
Budanov emphasized that the further development of the situation will depend on the actions of the Ukrainian side.
"Either we just sit and wait, four to five months will pass, and everything will repeat again. Or we will act preventively," he stated.
Let us also remind you that American military analysts believe that the Russian Federation has changed its tactics to disrupt a possible counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
