Increase in State Pension
The state pension will rise for millions of people and will stand at £12,548 from next year. This increase of £574.60, which will take effect from April, has been officially confirmed today. The reason for the changes is the 'triple lock' policy, under which the state pension is increased based on the highest of the following measures: inflation, wage growth, or 2.5%.“This move is important to ensure that pensioners can maintain their standard of living.”In the current economic situation, this increase will provide support for many people who rely on the state pension. The rise in pensioners' income may impact their ability to secure a decent living and reduce financial burden during these challenging times.
