This fight gathered over 70,000 spectators at Allegiant Stadium and took place just a month after Alvarez's daughter, Eva Victoria, was born.

Therefore, the father of four wants to make up for lost moments before deciding how to further develop his career.

“I want to talk to my family since they always support me,” Canelo said through an interpreter.

“Today is an opportunity to learn. I told my family that today was a chance to learn and evolve.”

“I am learning lessons from the loss, and so far, I have not had a chance to discuss the next step or my future.”

Alvarez plans to enjoy family moments since his daughter is still very young.

Defeat in the ring

Canelo was unable to outbox Crawford, who demonstrated superior technique throughout all 12 rounds.

The 35-year-old boxing legend tried to find one big punch, while Crawford secured victory through combinations and counterattacks.

Alvarez expressed frustration during the fight, trying to push Crawford to the ropes.

“Sometimes you try, but your body doesn't respond, right?”

“This is my frustration. Maybe I could have found a way to counter Crawford, but my body doesn't allow me to continue fighting.”

Two-time champion in four weight categories, Alvarez is without a title for the first time in ten years.

“No matter what happened, I still feel like a champion. It is what it is; you need to accept defeats and move on.”

Alvarez suffered his first loss to Floyd Mayweather in 2013 when he was just 23 years old.

Currently, Crawford has a record of 42-0 and is approaching Mayweather's unprecedented 50-0 record. Alvarez stated: “I believe Crawford is better than Floyd Mayweather.”

Crawford, becoming the first boxer to win titles in three weight categories, said: “Floyd was the best in his time. I am the best in my time. There's no point comparing me to Floyd.”

Crawford added new titles to his cabinet, becoming the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO champion in the super middleweight division. “Those who doubted me now know the truth,” he concluded.
