Canelo's Manager Reveals Negotiation Details with Jake Paul: What's at Stake.
Exciting Fight Between Alvarez and Paul
According to The Sun: CANELO ALVAREZ is still planning a fight with Jake Paul, according to his business manager Richard Schaefer.
The athletes discussed the possibility of a bout at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 3, and the deal was practically ready to be signed.
However, Alvarez decided to turn down this deal and signed a contract with Turki Alalshikh from Saudi Arabia, preparing for a fight with Terence Crawford.
The Mexican superstar will defend his title in the super middleweight division on Saturday against the undefeated Crawford.
While discussions about the fight with Paul are currently on hold, Schaefer warned that they could be resumed in the future.
“Maybe at some point, why not? I could absolutely see it,” he said.
Paul, 28, recently won against former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June, improving his record to 12-1.
