This will be Trump's first attendance at a major tennis tournament since 2015. He was born in Queens, New York, but last attended the US Open when he moved to the Oval Office in 2016.

Previously, Trump attended the final to support his wife Melania, but this time he will be the first sitting president to appear at the Super Bowl in New Orleans earlier this year.

Alcaraz on Playing with Trump Present

Alcaraz (ranked number 2 in the world) spoke about what it's like to play tennis in front of the sitting US president. He emphasized the importance of the president's presence at such competitions:

“It is a privilege for tournaments that the president of each country supports these competitions, tennis, and the match.”

The athlete tries not to focus on Trump's presence and does not want it to make him nervous. He highlighted that he has gone through all his matches without losing, becoming the first player since 2015 to not drop a set in six matches.

The Final of a Historic Year

This will be the third time that Alcaraz and Sinner will meet in a Grand Slam final in three months. This is the first time the same player faces another in three major finals within a year.

The winner will receive a record prize of 5 million dollars and the title of undisputed world number one.

Sinner noted that his relationship with Alcaraz off the court is great:

“Carlos and I have a good relationship off the court, and everything is fine between us.”

He also highlighted Alcaraz's progress in the game and his readiness for the challenges ahead.

The US Open final promises to be a true spectacle, drawing significant attention considering not only the competition on the court but also the presence of such notable figures as Donald Trump. This match will not only determine the champion but also leave its mark in the history of tennis.
